I respect your privacy and am committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how I, Deoné Duffy, trading as Deoné Duffy Coaching, collect, use, and safeguard data when you visit my website, use my forms, or interact with cookies and analytics tools.

Form Submissions


When you fill out my forms, I collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message). I do not require you to create an account.

Automatic Data (Cookies & Analytics)

  • Essential cookies are used to ensure the site functions properly and cannot be disabled.

  • Functional cookies support specific features, such as the Microsoft Bookings widget used for scheduling sessions. These are only set with your consent.

  • Non-essential analytics and marketing cookies are only set with your consent via my cookie banner. This includes Google Analytics, which collects anonymised usage data (e.g., page views, button clicks, device type, approximate location), and Microsoft's own analytics related to the Bookings widget.

 

3. How I Use Your Information

  • To respond to your enquiries submitted via the website forms.

  • To improve my website by understanding visitor behaviour through analytics.

  • I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

  • Other forms, e.g. Microsoft Forms or Microsoft Bookings forms collect data necessary for the stated purpose on those forms.

 

4. Legal Basis for Processing

I process your data under the following lawful bases:

  • To comply with legal obligations regarding data protection and transparency.

  • Consent: For non‑essential cookies, analytics and marketing.

  • Legitimate interest: To respond to your form submissions, lead generation.

  • Legal obligation: To comply with GDPR/UK Data Protection requirements.

5. Data Sharing

  • Wix: My website is hosted on Wix, which processes data securely on my behalf.

  • Usercentrics: Manages cookie consent and stores consent records.

  • Google Analytics: Receives anonymized usage data when consent is granted.

  • Microsoft: Microsoft Bookings is used to manage session scheduling, and Microsoft Forms may be used to collect enquiry or intake information. Data submitted through these tools is processed and stored by Microsoft on my behalf.

  • I do not share your personal data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

6. Data Retention

  • Form submissions:​

    • If you opt in to email or WhatsApp marketing, your basic contact information will be retained until you withdraw your consent.

    • If you submit an enquiry and do not become a client or opt into marketing, your information will be retained for no longer than one year after our most recent correspondence to allow for follow-up and business analysis, then deleted.

    • You may request deletion of your data at any time, even before the end of the retention period.

  • If you become a client, your data will be retained for the duration of our professional relationship and in line with legal/accounting obligations.

  • Records are retained in Wix CRM and/or Microsoft Sharepoint according to the various retention limits described above.

  • Analytics data:

    • Retained according to Google Analytics’ auto‑delete settings (i.e., 14 months).

  • Consent records:

    • Cookie Consent: Stored by Usercentrics for compliance purposes.

    • Form and Marketing Consent: Stored securely in our Wix CRM for internal record‑keeping only. You may withdraw at any time.

    • Consents collected through Microsoft tools are stored in Microsoft.

7. International Transfers

  • Some of the tools I use, including Google Analytics, may transfer personal data outside the UK, including to the United States.

  • Where this occurs, I rely on legally approved safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to ensure your data continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.

8. Your Rights

Under GDPR/UK law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you. I may ask you to verify your identity before responding, particularly if your request comes from an unfamiliar contact route.

  • Request correction or deletion of your data.

  • Withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time.

  • You have the right to complain directly to me if you believe your data has not been handled correctly — please contact me via email.

  • If you remain unsatisfied with my response, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK regulator).

These are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include:

  • I use Google Consent Mode (Basic). If you decline non-essential cookies, no data is sent to Google Analytics and no cookies are stored for that purpose.

10. Profiling & Automated Decision Making

  • I do not use targeted advertising or profiling to make decisions about you.

  • Where I use analytics tools (see our Cookie Policy), this is to understand general website usage and improve our services, not to evaluate or make decisions about individuals.

11. Safeguards

I take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
